Singapore Zoo, Night Safari and Bird Paradise Tickets: Prices, Passes and the Dated-Ticket Rule

A visitor pays SGD 49 for the Zoo or Bird Paradise and SGD 58 for Night Safari. Two parks on one pass cost SGD 88, every official ticket is dated and non-refundable, and buying at the gate adds S$3.

Singapore’s wildlife parks share the Mandai Wildlife Reserve in the north of the island: Singapore Zoo, Night Safari, Bird Paradise, River Wonders and Rainforest Wild Adventure. Each has its own ticket. What you pay depends on whether you are a resident, how many parks you combine and where you buy.

All prices are in Singapore dollars including GST. They come from Mandai’s ticket pages, park terms and promotions, read on 1 October 2026, and from Pelago the same day.

Children under 3 enter free with a ticketed adult over 21. Visitors have no senior price, because that rate is for residents over 60. Visitor prices did not vary by day.

Residents pay less through Mandai’s WildPass rates, for example SGD 39 for the Zoo on a regular day and SGD 44 on a peak day. Tourists cannot use them.

Combining parks

The multi-park Destination Passes are for visitors only. Mandai’s terms say: “Only Non-Residents are eligible to purchase Destination Passes.”

6 attractions, one day11890
6 attractions, five days158110

The two-park pass saves a little. The Zoo and River Wonders bought separately cost SGD 94 for an adult, and the Zoo and Night Safari SGD 107, against SGD 88 on the pass.

The five-day pass suits a visitor who spreads the parks over a stay: “The Validity Period is five (5) consecutive days, starting from and including the Guest’s first date of admission to one of the included Parks.”

Rules on an official ticket

One date, one visit. “All admission tickets to the Parks (“Admission Tickets”) shall be valid for one (1) visit to the relevant Park(s) on the purchase date or on the date stipulated on the Admission Tickets.” The official shop asks you to choose the date when you buy.

No refunds. “Upon successful payment of the MWG Products, such payment (in full or part) is non-refundable.”

Buy before you arrive. Mandai recommends it, “so you can secure your preferred visit date”. Buying at the gate costs extra: “For purchase(s) made onsite at the Mandai Wildlife Reserve, an administrative fee of S$3.00 per transaction shall apply.”

Night Safari runs on time slots. “All guests and members visiting Night Safari must select a time slot to ensure a smooth, thrilling adventure!” The park opens at 6pm, the “Walking Trails and Safari Adventure Tram start at 7:00pm”, and last entry is 11.15pm.

Hours and getting there

The Zoo opens 8.30am to 6pm. Bird Paradise, River Wonders and Rainforest Wild Adventure open 9am to 6pm. Last entry to all four is 5pm, so you can leave the Zoo late and go straight on to Night Safari.

Mandai has no MRT station. A shuttle runs from Khatib MRT: “Starting 1 October 2024, all travel on the Mandai Khatib Bus between Khatib MRT and the Mandai Wildlife Reserve will be charged at $2.50 per passenger (for guests aged 7 and above).” Public buses also run: “Bus 138 from/to Ang Mo Kio MRT or Springleaf MRT stations” and “Bus 927 from/to Choa Chu Kang MRT station”.

Dates to plan around:

  • 2 and 11 October 2026: Mandai asks visitors to come by public transport or shuttle.
  • 12 and 13 October: the flamingo exhibit at Bird Paradise is closed.
  • 29 October: the Zoo’s Elephants of Asia exhibit is closed.

Official promotions

Most of Mandai’s current offers are for residents or holders of particular cards. Two suit a visitor with the right card. POSB cardholders can “Enjoy 50% off admission and other exclusive F&B, retail, and Ranger Buddies Quest promotions!” Mastercard holders get free breakfast with Zoo admission, using a code that is “Limited to 50 tickets sold daily.”

Official site or Pelago

Pelago, Singapore Airlines’ experiences platform, sells all five parks and the Destination Passes. For dated tickets it charges exactly the official price: SGD 49 for the Zoo and Bird Paradise, SGD 58 for Night Safari, SGD 45 for River Wonders, SGD 55 for Rainforest Wild Adventure, and 88, 118 and 158 for the passes.

Pelago also sells open-dated tickets, which Mandai’s shop does not. On the day we checked, the open-dated Night Safari ticket started at SGD 56 and the open-dated River Wonders ticket at SGD 43, SGD 2 below the dated price in both cases. The open-dated Zoo ticket says “Open-dated Singapore Zoo Tickets are valid for 30 days from the date of purchase”, and you still book a time slot with Mandai before you go.

Neither seller refunds. Pelago’s Zoo page says “No cancellations, refunds, or changes are permitted once the booking is confirmed.”

Mandai’s terms say: “Only Admission Tickets and Activity Tickets (the “Tickets”) from authorised channels will be accepted.” We found no published list of those channels. Pelago’s open-dated tickets are redeemed by booking the visit with Mandai itself, but for certainty, buy direct.

For flexible dates, Night Safari’s options are on Pelago’s Night Safari page, and the other parks have their own pages there. For a fixed plan, the official shop costs the same and avoids the question.

If you are seeing more of Singapore, the Pelago Pass break-even sums include the Night Safari, and what is free and what is paid at Gardens by the Bay covers the other big ticket in town.

We have an affiliate arrangement with Pelago and earn a commission if you book through our link. For dated tickets, Pelago and the official site cost the same.
