Plaza Premium sells lounge entry as a pass, not a membership. The operator publishes every price, so the comparison is arithmetic, and the cheapest answer is usually not the pass with “Global” in its name.
All prices below were read from the operator’s own page on 21 September 2026 and are in USD, one of twenty-four currencies the page switches to.
Three rules apply to every pass
- Up to 3 hours of lounge use on every visit. Not a day, and not until your flight.
- Valid for 12 months upon activation. The clock starts when you activate, not when you buy.
- Shareable. The listings describe passes as flexible for sharing among travellers, and some say instant sharing with travel companions. Two people using one 2-visit pass on the same layover use it up in one sitting, so for a couple a 5-visit pass is two and a half layovers, not five.
Book at least an hour ahead
The page says:
Bookings must be made at least 1 hour(s) prior to your arrival; otherwise, please proceed to our lounge as a walk-in guest.
A walk-in pays the counter rate, not the pass rate. If you know at breakfast that you have a long connection that evening, buy from the operator’s pass list then.
The prices, worked out per visit
| Pass | Price | Visits | Per visit |
|---|---|---|---|
| Malaysia, Indonesia, Saudi Arabia | USD 59 | 2 | USD 29.50 |
| Bangkok 5-Visit | USD 159 | 5 | USD 31.80 |
| Bangkok 2-Visit | USD 69 | 2 | USD 34.50 |
| Kuala Lumpur, Singapore, Jakarta, Medan | USD 70 | 2 | USD 35.00 |
| Hong Kong and Shanghai | USD 75 | 2 | USD 37.50 |
| Hong Kong and Taipei | USD 75 | 2 | USD 37.50 |
| Global 10-Visit | USD 379 | 10 | USD 37.90 |
| Chinese Mainland 5-Visit | USD 195 | 5 | USD 39.00 |
| Chinese Mainland 2-Visit | USD 78 | 2 | USD 39.00 |
| Global 5-Visit | USD 199 | 5 | USD 39.80 |
| Global 2-Visit | USD 99 | 2 | USD 49.50 |
The global pass is the dearest way to buy a visit in Asia until you reach ten of them. A Global 2-Visit at USD 49.50 a visit costs 68 per cent more than the Malaysia, Indonesia and Saudi Arabia pass at USD 29.50. If your flying is concentrated on one or two Asian hubs, the regional pass is cheaper per visit.
Chinese Mainland has no volume discount. Two visits at USD 78 and five at USD 195 both come to USD 39.00 a visit, so the bigger pass only commits more money up front. The Global 10-Visit does earn its bulk, at USD 37.90 against USD 49.50 on the 2-Visit.
Read the lounge list before you buy
Each pass links to its own eligible-lounge list. The lists are separate: one for Plaza Premium Lounge, another for Plaza Premium First, and per-region lists for the Americas and Canada.
A prepaid pass bought through a reseller is sold on a lounge count rather than a lounge list, so you have to check the room at the door. Here you can check beforehand. A regional pass is defined by its list, not by the region’s name, so read the list for the airports on your ticket.
Plaza Premium First is a separate purchase
The Plaza Premium First Lounge Experience 2-Visit Pass is USD 129, or USD 64.50 a visit, and admits you to designated Plaza Premium First and Plaza Premium Lounge locations. That is more than double the cheapest Asian regional pass. We have compared the two side by side at three Asian airports, where the brands often sit in the same terminal.
The page also sells things that are not lounge entry: a buggy and lounge pass at USD 54, a buggy and intervals pass at USD 30, and a Vino Volo dining pass covering one set meal at USD 35. Do not buy one expecting lounge access.
Before you buy
- Work out the airports first, then the pass. A reader connecting through Kuala Lumpur and Jakarta is buying the wrong thing with Global, and the regional list is where that comparison is made.
- Count shared visits as spent visits. If two of you travel together, halve every visit count in the table.
- Check the price on the day. The operator can reprice a pass without telling anyone, and the five routes into a lounge sets out what the alternatives cost when it does.
